Britain – A Police State!

Well, Dickiebo has long been advocating the fact that the once-revered British Bobby has become the plaything of the politicians, and the enemy of the ‘man-in-the-street’, and now….the most sinister development yet. A large squad of anti-terrorism officers raided the home, Constituency office, and Parliamentary office, of a senior opposition M.P., arrested him, threw him in the cells, and kept him locked-up for 9 hours. The details?

Damian Green is a well-respected, long-serving Member of Parliament. He is no left-wing loony, nor a right-wing extremist. He is a Conservative, and is the official Opposition Shadow Minister on Immigration. As such, he has long been a thorn in the side of the disgraceful Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith. Recent internal memos tend to suggest that Smith was involved in the covering-up of the licensing of some 5,000 illegal immigrants as security-guards. Further internal memos ‘leaked’ include a report of an illegal immigrant being cleared to work in a security position at the Houses of Parliament; a secret list of M.Ps who were allegedly ‘plotting’ to defeat the Government proposal to allow for police to hold terror suspects for up to 42 days; and a draft letter from Smith to Downing Street, warning of the fears that the recession could lead to higher violent crimes, and hostility towards immigrants.

Green, like it or like it not, is OUR (i.e.the official opposition, acting for you and I) watchdog on immigration matters, and to be thrown into cells for representing us is very, very reminiscent of Mugabe and Rhodesia Zimbabe. Don’t say you were not warned. Some of us could see this coming. The actions of the hate-police in the last couple of years should have been enough warning for anybody to see which way the wind is blowing! Speaking in The Times Online today, Sam Coates says, “So to the Damian Green arrest, which police say was made on suspicion he was “aiding and abetting, counselling or procuring misconduct in a public office”. Looking back at the handful of prosecutions this statute has brought about, stories about the police’s use of this offence make frightening reading.”

Frightening indeed!

Dickiebo Update; This ’sinister’ piece of legislation has only been used on a few occasions, the most recent being to prosecute two journalists, Sally Murrer and Derek Webb, together with a Detective Sergeant Mark Kearney and his soldier son Harry. Coincidentally, they were today acquitted of all charges. Quoting the Human Rights Act, it was said, “But Thames Valley Police had flouted the convention by raiding Mr Webb’s premises and authorising the bugging of Mr Kearney’s car to discover if he was the source of the journalists’ information,” the court heard. Be warned. This is our police in Britain today.
