‘Which genius charged this man?’ Judge questions case against besieged homeowner who took a knife to protect himself from yobs

11.30pm. You are in bed. You are awaken by a gang of drunken yobs, banging on your front door, brandishing iron bars. You get out of bed, go downstairs, grab a kitchen-knife, and they back off.
Arrive the police and………..[Here, you fill in your actions if you were a cop!] Then check your action with that of the cops!
Answer? Well, they
- Arrested the homeowner for possessing a bladed weapon, and
- Took no action against any of the yobs.
As Gadget would say, “You just couldn’t make it up. Could you?”
How many times have we heard this????
Don’t understand it at all and it makes me angry.
Well, Annie, I’m afraid that this really and truly is becoming the ‘norm’ in Britain today, although a great many people will not believe me until it happens to them – like in this case.
